Alberto Dines
Chairman of the Board
Casa Stefan Zweig
Brazil

Dear esteemed Friend and Colleague,

It is very much an honor to receive the appointment of "Chairman of the Academic Committee" of Casa Stefan Zweig, and I accept this appointment with delight, much pleasure, no reservations, and the statement that I will do all possible to develop our goals further. Similarly, I look forward to corresponding, eventually meeting, and working along with members in other areas.

As you know, my interest in Stefan Zweig stems to the early 1970's and therefore the opportunity to serve on the important project Casa Stefan Zweig is quite meaningful to me.

I mentioned in previous e-mail's to you that I already had developed some ideas that I wished to share more formally with you and your other board members.

...Words do not fully convey the excitement and happiness that your announcement and decision have given me. I am certain that I will be able to advance Casa Stefan Zweig in many areas and very much am looking forward to formally beginning this unique, fascinating, and intriguing challenge.

Once again, I sincerely thank you and your board for the appreciated consideration and, of course, decision, which, as noted, I so very happily accept. Truly, it is very much an honor.

With kind personal regards and all best wishes, also, please, to the board members,

I remain,

Yours most cordially,

(Jeffrey B. Berlin)
